Straightener listings often lead with plate coatings and temperature claims. A structured page makes those fields comparable while separating them from performance language.
Plate material and coating
Brands may state ceramic, titanium, tourmaline or coated plates. Record the exact phrase. “Ceramic coated” and “solid ceramic” should not be rewritten as if they are the same specification.
Temperature
Record minimum and maximum temperatures when explicitly stated, whether control is fixed or adjustable, and the number of temperature levels if available.
Electrical and safety fields
Voltage, frequency, rated power, auto shut-off and cord details are useful objective fields. For India, verify any BIS/standard information against the product or official compliance data.
Travel claims
“Universal voltage” should only be recorded when the manufacturer provides the supported range. Do not infer it from plug shape.
A coating claim and a plate-material claim are not necessarily the same thing. Preserve the manufacturer’s exact wording.
Frequently asked questions
Is a higher maximum temperature automatically better?
No. It is simply a specification; DermaQA does not convert it into a quality ranking.
Can heat-up time be compared?
Yes, when brands publish a specific measured claim, but keep it attributed to the manufacturer.
Does a travel lock mean universal voltage?
No. These are separate features.
Sources and reference framework
DermaQA uses primary or official references where practical. Product formulas and labels can change, so the current pack and manufacturer page remain the most direct references for a specific product.
